Storm Brewing, Botany Bay

Driving through the suburbs of the south recently, a storm was blowing in and we stopped at Ramsgate beach to watch.

We met Heba and her welcoming family who were taking refuge in one of the picnic huts.

They were packing up their picnic things while other family members prayed.

They were so organised - I was impressed with their teapots. We talked about how the weather had started out to be so promising. They tell me their family arrived from Egypt thirty years ago.

Further up near Brighton-Le-Sands kiteboarders whipped along Botany Bay at great speed.

As I turned to leave, I was touched to see these children in the middle of an embrace.
