Christmas Lights and a Naughty Beagle
Glebe the other evening, I came across Bob and Karen outside their lit up homes. They’ve been neighbours for 23 years and say there’s never been a
cross word between them. Karen’s fallen behind with the Christmas preparations
this year as her husband’s been on night shift. He’ll be up that ladder
decorating the second storey on Monday. Bob’s beagle is in the bad books for
eating some of the light wires.
Their homes are on high ground overlooking a
big wasteland which no-one seems to have the money to develop. Beyond that’s
the city so their light shows can be seen for kilometres.
